Harold is a wealth management professional and third generation venture capitalist; and one-half of an avid set of parents to three terrific kids. Harold is the founder of the Leishman Group, which enables entrepreneurs to effectively access the capital markets to further grow the businesses and source strategic guidance. The Leishman Group also insures that as entrepreneurs succeed that they have top-flight advisory support to protect and further grow and diversify their new wealth. With the recent boom in technology ventures in British Columbia, Harold has taken a thought leader position in educating entrepreneurs in how to scale their ventures while simultaneously having liquidity events.
By limiting his practice to a select number of families, he takes the time to understand his clients in a meaningful way and be responsive to their changing circumstances. He is diligent in the pursuit of client satisfaction and forthright in the discussion of results.
Harold's earliest memories include passionate discussions between his father and grandfather, while he and his future entrepreneur brother looked on and judiciously contributed to the never-ending and always entertaining family business of finance and venture capital.
Harold is a graduate of Mt. Alison University, where he majored in philosophy & literature. Upon graduation and a year of business exploration - trying his hand at a variety of enterprises, including being a "fishmonger" - he returned to Vancouver to work for his family business in venture capital. Harold remains actively involved in his community, currently he serves as the Chairman of the Stratford Hall Foundation Board of Trustees.
